I picked up a decent sized lot of 82-83 GI JOE vehicles... in this was a pristine MOBAT, which seemed to be broken. After disassembly, I noticed a spring laying in the chassis. I have no idea where it goes-- any ideas? Also, I noticed that one of the battery terminals was extremely loose, so I crimped it back onto the board, and voila, it runs like champ. My second question is-- I have a second MOBAT lying around I was thinking of customizing... do the wheels easily come off, or am I stuck painting the chassis with them attached?

The bottom of the turret where it sits on the switch that controls the speed (hi, off, Low)...pretty sure that's where the spring goes.
The wheels do not come off easily...you'll break them before you get them to come off. |
