CVdelgado,
Do they extra wheels you have match the wheel that sits on the on/off switch? That and a smoke grenade launcher are the only pieces I'm missing from my Mauler.

Looking good. The Mauler has always been a favourite of mine and never having one as a kid (or knowing anyone who had one) led me to seek one out. I purchased one at the Canadian Joe Con this year for a very reasonable price ($20) though the antennas and tow cable were reproductions (I still have to find some paint to match the originals). I just finished putting some repro stickers on it from Cobra Stickers and it looks fantastic. Because the battery compartment is so tight I haven't tested it but it looks immaculate. Anyone have any suggestions for painting the repro parts?

If they're the Hard castings, they're just plain Alumilite Resin and the easiest way to pain them would be just to grab a can of Krylon Spray paint. If they're the flexible ones they're Alumilite Flex 60...I'm not sure you'll find a paint that will stay on perfectly...but I'd think a higher quality paint like Games Workshop or Model Masters would work well enough for display. |
