what is the best way to fix a vintage chest that the front inside "female" screw socket has been stripped?
i know some of you geniuses must have already devised a great solution, so lay it on me brothers!

I'd fill the screw hole with something (super glue, epoxie putty, etc...) then rethread a new screw into it

there are special bits that can be purchased for retrieving stripped screws. I have not attempted this yet with a few of my own but any hardware store should carry them. good luck. post results!

Do they come that small though? I think the bits I have are too large.

the old ''tap & dye" method...
i would use something softer than super glue...ecspecialy on vintage, usualy pretty brittle
