I have been contemplating getting a Night Raven. I am getting close to the end of my ARAH collection and decided that the Night Raven would be a fun way to kind to cap off my collection.

I do have some reservations about acquiring one and wanted to know if there is anything I should look for when potentially purchasing one (or most of one). Any parts prone to breakage? any parts that are extremely rare/hard to replace? Any feedback would be appreciated.

The great thing about that jet is it looks badass and doesn?t have many breakage points on the toy itself. Even the accessories aren?t too bad.

When you are shopping keep an eye out for the black cover on the rear firing gun right behind the cockpit. That is often missing. The two red missile pods are held in place with friction that requires more force to stay locked in as the plastic wears. Eventually the plastic breaks as the slot on the missile pod is fairly long. Other than that it will be pretty obvious in the listing if large accessories are missing.

There are also two types of landing gear mechanism levers but both function the same and neither is more or less effective in my opinion.

Dusty pretty well nailed it. I pretty well just said this in my last message to you, but if I could only have one Cobra vehicle, the Raven would be it (although I'd have a hard time getting rid of the Moray). Easily in my top five list.

I just got a Night Raven main body for free and it thankfully is unbroken. I would recommend checking the bottom of the plane because those tabs that hold the wheels in place are often broken and the wheels can fall out when using the mechanism. Finding an intact undercarriage can be difficult sometimes.

Thankfully this was not broken. It had the cover that went over the cockpit gun thankfully as that can go for $20-$30 by itself. However it is missing a lot of parts so it will take some effort to restore. That being said, if anyone has these parts I will gladly pay for them: the full drone, the left and right stabilizer wings, the missile pods and missiles, the bombs, the rear landing gear covers, the cockpit and cockpit base, and the Stratoviper pilot.

Appreciate the feedback everyone. I just bought an incomplete one in pretty good shape - the seller was kind enough to take some more photos of the landing gear area/tabs and all seem to be in good shape. Looking forward to getting it in hand and restoring it to it's former glory.

Got one finally at a local store. It was in good shape and was only missing the double gun and cover. Ordered those off of ebay and they arrived this week. It needs some cleaning and new stickers and this will look beautiful on display.
