Over the last few days i have read on other posts about people finding Joes at places like Big Lots and family dollars & dollar Generals. so i descided to go look for myself to see. went to a local Dollar general and found these odd figures all with 2008 dates on the back but ther not 25th anv. figures. bought them at 2 locations for $3.50 each. has anyone else spotted these figures at your stores? grand total i bought 22 figures from the 2 locations.
(sorry about the picture quality cell phone pics) televipers ninja sand vipers, dusty, striker. all have hasbro logos on them. the rest of the pics can be found here dollar genera figs pictures by megafreakintron - Photobucket

These are valor vs venom, joe vs cobra and spy troops era sculpts, circa 2000-2005. Dollar General has had them for a few years now. They are cool for army building and such, but dont come with any of the accessories they did when originally released.

I can't see the pics from work (damn websense!) But I'm going to say these are the figures that were released for sale specifically AT dollar and discount stores. I'm going to guess explosion back/25th artwork and they came with no accessories correct?

yea no acc. just the figures on cards. our 2 dollar generals were loaded down with them. i did find alot of wave 11 25th gi joes at big lots for $4.00 a piece. but these really intrested me. so i couldnt pass up the $3.50 price tags. may save them for trading to finish out my 25th anv sets. ther still cool tho. gi joes for under $4.00

I still have a ton of the old ones with the accessories on card if anyone is interested, those are crazy with no weapons.
Especially when I first saw they they were setting by $2 versions with all their stuff. |

Dollar General by me has a bunch of them too. I haven't picked any up yet, but thought they might be cool for practicing customizing

For a while I saw these at Meier right next to the RoC Joes. What's funnier is they were charging the same price as the RoC Joes - I believe at the time it was $7.99 each.
