I recently required a 1985 Bomb Disposal vehicle and set about restoring it. I disassembled, removed stickers and gave it a good cleaning. While drying it however, one of the steering grips (if that is what they are) broke off. Needless to say I was shocked. I examined the remaining grip and it has a whitish hue at the base and therefore in danger of being broken as well.
My question is: has anybody else repaired these and what would be the best method. I was thinking of super gluing but not sure how durable that would be. My collection is for display purposes only but I would like to only have to repair this once.
