I have gone back & forth 3 or 4 times in trying to decide what I would prefer to collect, vintage or modern. Both have their perks and both have their faults. After selling off and rebuilding a few collections of each, I think I've decided....eff it. I'll just buy whatever I want of both, who cares? Its my collection, right? With a little imagination, they mesh decent together. Besides, with the MU and DCIH figures, everything is a little different in size anyway. Usually being off in scale even just a little, really bothers me. But now that I've just made up my mind to get over it, Its put me in a zen mood because I've finally come to peace with it, lol.
Any of you fellow tankers mix and match the different eras together? |

I do, but I do prefer the modern figs. I use vintage for characters I don't have the modern equivalent for. Also I have no problem mixing 25th with roc and vintage, and some vehicles just can't fit the newer figs.

I prefer modern figs, but I have some of my fave vintage figs. I also have some vintage vehicles, and I will display some ME figs with them. I only display the vintage figs with their 25th counterparts.

I used to, but then the OCD won.
Now, I will mix anything that is 1997 and beyond with 25th/Modern so it's not the ARAH molds that aggravate the OCD, it's the years. ::shrugs::

I've got one vintage B.A.T. & a vintage S.N.A.K.E mixed in with their newer counterparts. They're considered the early prototypes of the later additions.

vehicles and accessories i'll mix, not like the new rattler is any different from the one from 1985 and vice versa. But I don't like to mix the figures... I have them, less and less rah over the years as I've gently sold it off and cleared it down to just the basics. But I do intend to display them all once my basement is finished, but I'll do so by keeping them seperated!
