Most times if someone is offering over $4 for them they are overpriced. Not always like with the Blue SE mentioned.
Also there is a huge number of the yellow torpedos dumped on the market about 5 years ago, many think this fig is still rare when in reality it is fairly common, this is an easy one to get screwed on. A highly sought after one is Roadblock since he came with the Big Honking gun from the recalled battle force pack, the fig itself is crap (green skin) but is worth it for that rare gun (I think the only other time it was released in fact). The liberties taken with the funskool licence are, without a doubt, some of the most fun variations of GI Joe. Big Brawler, Windmill, Tripwire are some of the more fun ones. But some of the variations are actual improvements. Best example is the Crimson Guard Imortal which has gold at the top of his helmet unlike the american version, actually looks better, I have about 3 of those. Some are near perfect replicas of the orignal releases, Quick Kick for example. Roadpig is only missing the "A" anarchy tattoo but is otherwise perfect with the american version. Also they have some cheap alternatives to getting orignal vehicles near orignal paint without the inflated price (Sky Striker is one of the most famos ones, last known location of that mold too). Look through the archives at YoJoe, loaded with lots of info, |

I take FULL blame for the Yellow Torpedo's
I had almost 20 of them at one point in time (and have the pics somewhere on my computer to back it up). |

Look through the archives at YoJoe, loaded with lots of info, Agreed. Some other interesting ones - and not too expensive either - to add to any collection would be Wild Weasel (significantly different - but not bad by any means - paint apps - great use as a generic Cobra pilot), "Skydiver" who looks like a TF Crazylegs, and some of the black Joes like Stalker and Iceberg, who were actually molded with caucasian skin, making them useful as completely different characters (these I'd really like to get at some point). I've mainly been concentrating on UK and Brazil releases, but not that my goals are almost complete (I only need Gatilho, Felino, Jammer, Gaucho and Dolphin out of the ones I set out to obtain), I may be paying more attention to some of the Indian stuff.

I dig the Funskool stuff as well, and have been fortunate to pick up some of the rarer early figures.
There are really three different tiers of Funskool stuff....the dirt-cheap ultra-common stuff, the semi-rare and somewhat pricy stuff, and "good luck". The top tier is guys like the blue Major Bludd, red Stalker, blue Hawk or Short Fuze, red Buzzer, or purple Ripper that bring $1,000 and up MOC. There are also guys like the no camo Storm Shadow and the no camo Gung Ho that aren't even on the radar because there are only a couple known to exist. Needless to say, I don't own any of these personally. The next tier is guys that can be bought for $100-500 MOC, and it includes the bright green Zap, alternate head Zap, red/yellow Beach Head, caucasian Stalker, yellow Torpedo, and both Snake Eyes variants. This category also includes characters like Zarana and Lady Jaye where the major variance is in the packaging, not the figure (these were two that were released with "portrait" cardbacks and several other figures that aren't major variants, but are rare nonetheless (early releases of Baroness, Firefly, etc). This category also includes many of the vehicle pack-in figures that are hard to come by like the copper Psyche Out and the bright green Blaster. As far as which ones are both fun to look at and easily had, others have mentioned Wild Weasel, Skydiver, Windmill, and Bomb Squad Tripwire, but also look out for Wild Bill in orange, Cross Country (the "Super Mario" version), and Lifeline in yellow & green. I also like Supercop and the brighter green Beach Head.

The place I found them at has a bunch of orange Wild Bills, I couldn't really psyche myself up to buy one because it is pretty ugly. I was able to pick up Blaster, a Desert Scorpion, Airtight and Buzzer. There was a funky maroon shirt Tunnel Rat that I may pick up too. Thanks everyone for the interesting info about these figs.
