I recently picked up a stack of file cards at a flea market. The cards include red back cards of the Baroness, V1 Storm Shadow, Scrap Iron, Firefly, and Cobra Soldier. Are these any rarer than the the normal cards. The only one that I could find as a mail away was the Cobra Soldier.

I believe all of those are from the 1984 Sears catalog 6 pack. I think all those old store exclusive multi figure packs had redbacked cards (Sears, JC Penney, etc...)
Edit: check the 1984 catalog here: http://www.action-figures.ca/action_figure_catalogs.htm Quote:

Have they been cut at all? Or are they "fullcard" mail away size? If they have not been cut at all I would be interested in them.

Edit: check the 1984 catalog here: Action Figure Archive - Sears Catalogs While the description says Cobra Commander, the picture shows a Cobra Soldier. Looks like you're just missing Destro |

I remember those redbacked cards. My Dad was the manager at one the Sears surplus store. I recall one day, my brother and I got the Joes Ripcord, Blowtorch, Recondo, and even a Dragonfly. Each of of them had redbacked cards.
By the way I remember those Sears catalogs, they were awesome! |
