Wasn't there another method for say fixing loose knees, like using clear nail polish or something?

I employed a similar technique using duct tape on my 25th Cobra Officer.
It works quite well, and is less risky than super glue. |

The only time I got to see the schematic lay out structure of the vintage Joe design was when I broke my 94' 34th Anniversary Action Soldier.

Nail polish I've heard (and mentioned earlier) or some super glue run onto the joints (while disassembled preferably).
In the latter case be careful where it goes as it turns a powdery white (but is stuck there). Fine for in the joints, just don't let it spread too much. |

I've used blue tak before on the knee joints, in the same way you have.

Clear coat polish works wonders. Just be careful not to apply too much.
