Ace was a versatile figure. He could be a pilot when playing with the various aircraft, he could be Doc and Lifeline's wounded Joe on the ground due to how often he crashed, and he filled in as Flash on space missions.
His flight helmet fogged permanently, so he also could be a potential Zartan sneak-attack figure. ![]()

When I was a kid, I lived in a third-floor apartment with a balcony. After I got the Skystriker, I'd often put Ace in the parachute chair and drop him down to a friend waiting on the ground below. However, any minor breeze would blow Ace onto the balcony of the grumpy neighbor who lived beneath me. This happened multiple times, and the guy would just get increasingly annoyed with me every time I knocked on the door and asked for my toy back.
That's my clearest memory of playing with Ace. I have super-strong emotional ties to him. I like the design of the figure, but the whole pressure suit/astronaut look is admittedly weird. I don't know how to rate him objectively. 8/10. |

I give him a 3 because he doesn't look anything like a fighter pilot. He looks more like an astronaut. Yes, I know he's based off U-2 pilots but those are high altitude spy planes. Ace seems mismatched with his F-14. The '93 version is my default Ace, he actually looks like a fighter pilot.

Gave a 6. I found the figure kind of lackluster, but not bad. The character was okay, but the Skystriker was the clear star of the "set".
