I label all my figures on their stands, so if I give one a repro part that some collector in the future might find notable (like Heavy Metal or Lift Ticket), I'll add that info to the label.
With that said, I'm not always obsessive about "completing" every figure with all authentic gear. Especially after 1990 when the figures started coming with generic neon weapon trees and gimmicky spring-loaded, water-squirting, or noise-making crap, I take all that stuff away and re-equip the character with whatever I feel looks more appropriate. Sometimes that's a weapon from another character, some from totally different toy lines, some Marauders Inc, etc. I also can't be arsed if the character's gun is the wrong plastic color or doesn't have the right sprue marks for a specific figure so long as it's essentially the same weapon. If my 1982 Snake Eyes is holding a black Uzi from a later version of the character rather than the dark gray one he originally came with, oh friggin' well.

YoJoe says the early year weapons are "black." If that site's even still around at that time, it's not being updated anymore. 3DJoes doesn't say anything about color, and the close-up photos there look more black than gray in the lighting used to take them. For all the good work Carson does, does he have the bandwidth, time, or resources to put in a major expansion to properly document subtleties like this? Is that worth his effort? |

Never had problem with that. Heavy Metal is the only one I had that was missing the small piece. I had Lift Ticket's mic and Sneak Peek's too.
