Well, according to YJ logic, dark grey is black, so you're good to go anyway :/

As I was saying earlier, in a couple decades when all the disorganized Facebook posts with photos comparing the many shades of accessory plastic color are long since purged, what reference guide will collectors have to distinguish subtle differences between various versions (both authentic and repro) of the same piece?

YoJoe says the early year weapons are "black." If that site's even still around at that time, it's not being updated anymore.

3DJoes doesn't say anything about color, and the close-up photos there look more black than gray in the lighting used to take them. For all the good work Carson does, does he have the bandwidth, time, or resources to put in a major expansion to properly document subtleties like this? Is that worth his effort?

I can say that my Low-Light has the accessory pack backpack, as the grey looks much better than the black one he came with. There are many things in my collection that are the same way and totally agree with what you say about this. If something makes you happy than there is nothing wrong with it as it will not make a difference when you are no longer in the picture

Never had problem with that. Heavy Metal is the only one I had that was missing the small piece. I had Lift Ticket's mic and Sneak Peek's too.
