For part 5, I went with the Neo Viper Commander. I like the Neo Viper design and the Commander has my favourite red/black colour scheme. I'm surprised the Nunchuk here isn't a Quick Kick, instead.

I remember really liking that first Mirage repaint. It salvaged a nice mold and made me re-think the character.

Headman (v2) - I don't dislike this orange suited "smuggler"
Heavy Duty (v4) - Nice colors, more modern ground design that is unfortunately over sculpt limiting arm and hip movement. Also, a big guy character that wasn't sculpted big. BIG FAIL. Heavy Duty (v6) - Worse colors. His gloves are too close to his skin tone. Were they gloves here? Who knows? Mirage (v2) - I like that they made him, but those hips don't move well. Mirage (v3) - Better than the V2 mostly. (Skin tone is worse) Neo-Viper (v1) - Interest design. More simple than the other cobras from that wave. Still a t crotch...oh, and that left arm thing. Neo-Viper (v2) - The white one that yellows. I do like they did a major color change. Neo-Viper (v4) - The cement colored one. Kinda like it, but also the colors don't go well with other Cobras. Also, the arm designs limit poses to mostly aiming guns at waist level. The left arm on its own is kinda useless. Neo-Viper Commander (v1) - Head seemed smallish. t...kwotch...tired of typing that. Nunchuk (v3) - Not Quick-Kick. Probably would've been better with no green strip body paint. |

Went with Neo-Viper v1, another great new design for a Cobra Grunt, nice addition to the Cobra legions, was a close one with the Neo-Viper Commander and other Neo-Vipers, i am a sucker for Cobra Infantry

I recall it was Hasbro's Deryl DePriest who did that. It ridiculous to pretend these toy characters were locked in some continuity. Especially since by 2002, some of these characters would be in their 50's or older. Now what is Snake-Eyes, like 70 at least. Nam was a looong time ago.

That's not accounting for the fact that, in Hama's canon, Snake Eyes was a LRRP, which I presume requires some experience and isn't something a new kid fresh out of basic training gets assigned to. |
