Final poll for 2001 and we're getting ready to start on the ME stuff, as Joe vs. Cobra is part of the next series of polls and introduces a departure from the classic O-ring design.
For this final poll, I stuck with the Sub Viper, as I think he's the most visually interesting of the choices that made it to this poll.

i was into making superhero o-ring customs at the time (not much has changed) and big brawler torsos was gold for me.
i also think it's worth noting that if i ever get a 3d scanner im 100% scanning a big brawler or out back torso just so i dont have to hunt them down all the time and pay way too much. i can just slice and print. the second part is tunnel rat's lower leg and upper leg without the knife. I still feel rather indifferent toward most of these figures and have neither a great love nor hatred for any of them. I voted for Laser Viper over Fast Blast Viper in the previous poll, but since that's not an option here, I'll go with FBV now.

In my own collection, I draw a distinction between classic o-ring construction figures and "New Sculpt" or "Modern Era" figures. Although I bought tons of New Sculpt figures when they were released, they now reside in boxes in my closet and I don't put them on display with the vintage-style o-rings.
As we move into 2002, and the volume of figures Hasbro released exploded that year, I might recommend you keep the different figure types to their own separate polls. Especially if you're running them here in the Vintage forum. |

Especially if you're running them here in the Vintage forum. at least with some new sculpt figures i've been able to make a proportionately larger o-ring figure; because the person that sculpted those very few parts was at least competent in human anatomy. |

spy troops and valor vs venom were good ideas, just the figures werent so great.
venemous maximus or whatever his name is; is a pretty cool character. the figures are kind of crap for proportions though. |

FWIW, I don't mind those JVC, Spy Troops, Valor vs. Venom, etc. figures being discussed and polls for them being hosted in the Vintage forum. I just, personally, think there's too much of a distinction between the classic o-ring figures and the "New Sculpt" figures to pit them against each other in the same poll. Looking at something like the convention Crimson Viper vs. the Cobra C.L.A.W.S. is simply not an apples-to-apples comparison. |

if it has an o-ring it belongs in this section.
i'll go as far as to say even the chap mei torso'd gijoes and corps go here too. i can get behind separating the new sculpt o-ring gijoes from the RAH o-ring/rivet/metal t-bar figures. |
