This vote is a little easier for me. I loved the Polar Battle Bear, the SNAKE, and the Wolverine, but you just can't beat the Skystriker as one of the most iconic G.I. Joe vehicles of all time. If it hadn't been for the fact that Hasbro had JUST done an O-ring Haslab for this two years prior, I think they would have done the Skystriker for the first Joe Haslab, instead of the Dragonfly.

This is a weird one.
Adult me recognizes that the Skystriker is a fantastic toy. A fantastic toy that kid me always felt was just a little too big to really play with well and that was mostly limited to air play. It couldn't interact with ground battles and activities as well as the Dragonfly. But the SNAKE armor had SO MANY play possibilities! It's a robot, it's battle armor, it's a brainwashing device, it's battlefield debris! For a little pile of plastic parts it's one of the most versatile toys that was released as part of the GI Joe line. |

Yeah, I love that the SNAKE came with that rubber insert, so you could put it together around that, instead of a figure, and use it like a robot, as you said.

Has to be the Skystriker. That will get my vote for best vehicle in the entire line, actually.

Skystriker is the obvious popular choice. I really like the Polar Battle Bear. Can hold 3 Joes. As a kid, great for play value. Looks great. Affordable. Just a big fan of small to medium sized vehicles with lots of play value.

Went with the Skystriker. I wore the crap out of those chutes tossing Ace and Airborne into the air and watching them float down.

I lived in a third floor apartment and used to toss them off the balcony to a friend waiting on the ground below. More than a few times, the damn things wound up getting blown onto the porch below mine, and I'd have to go downstairs to ask my grumpy neighbor to get them for me. He was not happy about that.

As with the previous year, 1983 offered G.I. Joe supremacy over anything COBRA had to fight with. I was glad that G.I. Joe was always winning, but with the Skystriker providing air supremacy, it seemed like COBRA never had a chance.

I'm pretty happy i managed to find and keep snake armor files. Now that i have a resin printer it'll probably be one of the things i print with it.
