Boxes with sufficient padding only. These figures are 30-40 years old and the plastic is brittle. Crotches and thumbs are especially prone to breaking.

In addition to the suggestions already mentioned, there are Facebook groups that are good markets for buying and selling G.I. Joe toys. If you post something for local pickup only, it seems like no matter where you live there will probably be somebody willing to come get it.

Good to know about the boxes. That was what I typically use for transformers but figured it didn't hurt to ask. Wouldn't have thought about the thumbs though.

Yep, facebook is definitely a good option too! I imagine that is where I will ultimately need to go to sell the Flagg or the Defiant.

Figures from 1982 are the most notorious thumb-busters, but even those from later can be prone to it. In general, do not pack a figure holding or wearing its weapons and accessories when you ship. Take all the gear off and store separately.

Thanks for the advice! I sold a few figures already but it is good to learn more as more people message me about them.

On a different note, Can anyone help me identify some of these missiles/bombs? The black ones on the left of the left of the first photo are especially confusing me. I am unsure if they are even GI Joe at this point.

You should number each one so people can say 7 is stinger and 9 is fang bomb. Etc.

1 & 3 are both from a diecast/plastic ERTL F15 Eagle that fits GI Joe figures. I have one and it's pretty cool. Here's a boxed one on Ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/325555880584

4 is a Tomahawk bomb. 5 is from the Cobra CLAW. 8 is a Stinger missile. 12 are from the GI Joe Missile Defense Unit. 14 is a Wolverine missile. 19 are from the SLAM. 21 is from the GI Joe Bivouac. 23 are Cobra Trubble Bubble/ Flight Pod.

Oh, I definitely saw that jet in this collection somewhere. Good to know, I was thinking it belonged to some REMCO vehicle. I have a handful of REMCO guys actually, are those worth anything to Joe collectors? They seemed like knockoffs.
