The only problem with repros can be summed up with the following sentence:

"I think all of my parts are original."

It is easy to tell a Black Major figure apart from an original. The Gold Head Steel Brigade for example looks spot on sitting on the shelf, but once you hold it in your hand you can tell by the plastic that it is not an original figure.

Can you tell that from pics on ebay though? Serious question. I've never even bothered to look at them.

Yeah, that's definitely the only drawback to repros.

And if you care about that sort of thing, the learning curve is steep
because repros get better with technology so you have to learn every
single new method to tell apart repros.

Not sure what I'd do if I had a set of Power 9 cards as the repros
just keep getting better for example.
