even though I never had any NF figures when they were originally released, the darker uniforms looked better. TF would have been much better had they been darke green and black camo. The bright yellow on most of them just ruined what coulda been the better of the 2 concepts.

Tiger force. If I were sending them in battle, night force makes way more sense, but the TF figures were so fun, and visually, they were so unique. Also, RB’s tiger force helmet is one of my favorite accessories…

While I do like the Night Force colors better than their first issue colors of the same characters, I will have to go with Tiger Force for this one.
So silly looking for any combat team, Tiger Force is more about the fun factor which has made G.I. Joe such a popular toy.

Even as a kid I could see a cheap, tacky, hastily tossed together repaint.
I suppose Night Force is the least offensive of them. Slaughter's Marauder's with that obtrusive blue, and Tiger Force with the hideous Battle Cat colors were really awful. But nothing was worse than Python Patrol. What a putrid color scheme. And to sully the CRIMSON Guard, a character whose very NAME describes his color, with that bizarre yellow and gray mishmash was pure sacrilege. |

If they had come out before I stopped collecting Joes I would have thought Tiger Force was silly and that Night Force was just about the coolest thing ever.
As an adult with entirely different tastes I find Tiger Force appealing and toyetic. While I do think Night Force is a cool concept, it's not very interesting visually. I wouldn't be excited for Night Force Classified figures like I am for the Tiger Force releases. Although if they released them in the same manner I'd be happy to get Tunnel Rat and Crazylegs in Night Force deco. Last edited by PhantomTrblmkr; 03-27-2022 at 03:04 PM.. |
