Buy this, cut a small piece and stick to the bottom of the figure's foot, then stick the foot on the stand (not on the peg).

take a hollow plastic tube that will fit the outside diameter of the stand peg and the inside diameter of the foot peg then stick the hollow tube on the stand peg and cut/trim off the access to fit the height of the stand peg

The problem with foxtrot's approach is finding a tube that size.

What about the tube in a used up pen, or a brass tube (found in many hobby shops in various sizes)?
