The vehicles serve different purposes, but in the Sunbow series it seemed liked the Stun replaced the HISS as Cobra's flagship set of wheels/tracks.

As a toy the Stun is hot garbage. Its split feature just gets in the way, and over all its just annoying, especially when it becomes loose and starts to break. The Hiss is just a lot more sturdy as far as models/toys go.
However in cartoon form I prefer the Stun. The Hiss feels like it doesn't give you a good value for how much space it takes up. Its just a big empty box with space for 2 crewman, and 2 soldiers. The stun on the other hand can carry 9 people, and 11 if you want to use the 2nd set of poorly placed side pegs. From a troop capacity stand point its just better. In my opinion there is better vehicle then both of these. It combines the solid and sturdy base needed for a good toy, while simultaneously having abundant storage space, and troop capacity. And not only that, its a light tank. A mix between the Stun as a light recon vehicle, and the Hiss as a Tank. The Rage. It can carry around 9 troops on pegs or in seats, and as many others as you can fit on the flat surface. It looks like a tank, and has space to store weapons in the right side panel if needed. Its one of Cobra's best ground vehicles. |

HISS by a huge margin. The older I get the more dumb the Stun seems to me. There are particular variants of the HISS that I prefer over the v1, but I'd still take a v1 over a Stun anyday.
I do second the Rage/Fury love, though. It's a great vehicle, and definitely one of the best "latter years" ARAH designs. |

H.I.S.S.
The Baroness just wouldn’t look right tied up on the hood of STUN.

I do prefer the HISS but think the Stun is one of those cool wacked out fantasy/military vehicles that fits Cobra really well.
Also agree that the Rage is an awesome vehicle. |

I?m pretty sure Serpentor was in a HISS turret when Zartan put an arrow between his eyes.

STUN don't much appear in the comic until Python Patrol. I think the Stun debuts in ORDER OF BATTLE.
I prefer the HISS, Stuns are too fragile. The red parts get brittle and break, and the under carriage is prone to cracking. |
