Greetings to all in the tank,
I don't post that often or get involved forum discussions as much as I'd like to. But, i've always kept up on certain things. However, this one really stumped me and probably because I just missed it. So I bought a small collection of Joe's from a reseller that had nothing to do with the hobby. What I thought I saw was a V-1 roadblock and a v1 snowjob...with colors I knew were off. They have flag and emblem markings on a few. The date stamps on roadblock just say "made in china h-9" while snowjob's says "1997 hasbro made in china". So, i'm guessing they used snowjob v2's mold? The other man in white has an h-2 and the one who looks like president richard nixon (and he does) has an h-1. So, i'm guessing these are either bootlegs or some set I'm not aware of. Some have an orange circle emnlem on their right shoulder with the letters "AT" in black. Anyone know what I'm looking at? Is this a legit set or figures made by Hasbro and it's modern era garbage? Or am I looking at something else? I can't find anything on the anywhere, so if they are bootlegs i guess not many were made? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks everyone! |

Yeah like other said those are legit. That was a cool set with some mixed/lazy figures and some home runs but in general the production quality is pretty nice even if some part choices and new heads were weird. I have always liked that Big Ben in particular, the arctic deco is a great fit for the details of that mold.
Anyway, they're far from garbage. Despite what people like to believe there were still kids hungry from Joes when they came out (me among them) and there's a healthy enough demand for some of those.

AT = Action Team, I think. I got both that Big Ben and Whiteout, but found them separately actually.
I cherish the Whiteout because he is one of the closest to my personality in terms of his filecard information. He is a new character, he is not Snow Job.

Hey thanks guys, I really appreciate everyone's input. I knew someone from the tank would know what was up. Yeah, I don't think they are garbage at all. I agree these are great repaints. The only gripe I have is the plastic feels cheaper on some of these figs. Oh well. Thanks again all for the learning, because now I know...
