I like having the Gold Head in my collection due to its rarity and all that, but as far as actual appearance goes, the V1s have better coloring.

V1 but there are too many variations of V1 to answer definitively. V2 was more of Hasbro giving Cobra blue to GI JOE while Create a Cobra was freaking pink!

Also, Steel Brigade are among the most overhyped things in GI JOE in terms of vintage collecting.
