Not sure about anyone else, but I think I'd have went with Mike Colter from Luke Cage as Roadblock. I really think he could deliver a quality take on the character if he had a solid script.

I like unknown choices but I am more interested in how well they can act. There's nothing worse than a bold casting choice where talent was the last concern. We might not deserve a Guy Pearce "L.A. COnfidential" type of performance, but Roadblock embodied strength, presence, gentleness, and a heroic non-cynical nature and so should the performance. The late Michael Clarke Duncan could've nailed the role and Bruce Willis could've gotten him on board easily, I think.

I went with v4.
Does anyone else notice that all the Roadblock (and the one Double Blast) figures that use the v1 mold have the crotches break off really easily? It seems like it breaks off if the legs swing forward at all. Does anyone know what causes that? Too tight of an o-ring or something? Maybe his waist is narrow and forces the legs inward too much? My son has two Double Blasts and both have lost their crotches a few times. I use Plastic Surgery glue to put them back on. But his v1 Roadblock had the same thing happen today when the legs went forward.

Version 1 is clearly the iconic look (v2 is classic also). But the sculpt didn't hold up compared to later figures. Roadblock was supposed to be a big buff guy, but that figure has no muscles. Same problem with Gung Ho v1.
I used v4 with the original's weapons. Except I swapped the legs for some camo pants.. can't remember who's without finding him. I didn't like the bright blue pants |

Ooh, great pick! I cannot think of a better one off the top of my head.
