V1. It is iconic, and even though V3 and V4 are better figures, neither scream "Duke" to me. I would have loved if, during the era of Comic Packs, Hasbro had invested in new arms and released an homage in better colors than what we got. I did like the Russ Heath inspired headsculpt.

V1.
I had no idea there were so many versions of Duke and I'm not sure yojoe even lists all of them. Wasn't Duke a mail-away figure before he hit shelves? |

I honestly couldn't tell you, by the time the store version came out I took a very long break before I started collecting again.

I prefer the “snake in the chest trying to save his ungrateful half-brother“ Duke. DIE, you sumbitch!
Figure-wise ver 4 is my favorite. The mail-in Duke came with a sticker of the US Flag that went on his right shoulder. Interesting that it wasn’t included with the mass released figure since the flag is on the card art. Also his file card has a close up shot of his face.

Duke V3 is the best for me. I just really like that design - and I have fond memories of finding that entire wave, unexpected, in ToysRUs. That was the beginning of the re-imagining of characters, and giving them new outfits. I loved the early 90's.
