I voted for the original '83/84 Duke. He was one of the first Joes I ever got as a kid in 1984. I like the '92 and '93 versions of Duke, especially the '93 figure, but nothing beats the original First Sergeant.

Awesome custom. I'd be ok with Hasbro sculpting the bandolier onto the chest though like they did with the straps on the legs. I get that wouldn't to be able to reuse the chest, but I think sometimes those molded straps look better than the removeable ones.

He's the poster boy.
I wouldn't mind a new, 1:18 scale, non-O-ring line with all-sculpted-on details. Do away with the removable vests. |

The original is still the best. I still have my old '83 mail-in version, 100% complete, with the little flag sticker which is barely hanging on. I always loved the binoculars he came with too.
