I added an Oktober Guard fighter pilot in my fan-fic and his jet was based on that FSW Sukhoi.

Voting isn't particularly close, which was to be expected. On one of those Tier Lists, the Skystriker would to me rank at S-Tier, while the Conquest gets a solid "B" in the third rank.
I like both of them, but compared to the SkyStriker, it does seem a little like a beach toy.

The thing about the Conquest is, since it was based on an idea/prototype, in 2022 it is just as viable a design as an F-35. The Skystriker is a beast of a toy based on one of the most iconic aircraft of the 20th century. It was superior in its day and works as a retro release, but it is dated. Top Gun Maverick showed its limitations in the 21st century. Overall, the Skystriker is superior as a toy and an '80's concept. But my nostalgia (I didn't have a 'Striker, but did have an X-30) and modern goggles give a nudge to the Conquest.

Yeah, Top Gun 2 pretty much dogged the F-14 for being a dinosaur, so it's hard to make a toy of it today unless it's for some 3rd world military. The beauty of the Night Raven is that it still looks like a "fighter of tomorrow".
They absolutely should have done that instead of the Skystriker for the Haslab. |

Love the Conquest but the Skystriker edges it out for nostalgia.

if you think the X-30 still looks viable today, what about the Storm Eagle?
