My first Joe purchase with my own money was Blizzard in 1988. I got him from Albertson's Grocery Store. Aside from Toys R Us, I found more Joes at this store than anywhere else

I honestly dont remember. I think it might have been Ninja Force Storm Shadow.
My first figure was given to me by my parents and still have it or what is left. That was Falcon. For the longest time I thought it was Flint.

When I was younger, me and my brother would have to do chores(mow the lawn, do the dishes, clean, etc.) and we would get a $5 per week allowance each, plenty enough to buy something. The first Joe I bought was Short Fuze and my brother bought Zap at our local K-Mart. I was 10 and my brother was 9. I remember then saving up for an MMS and my brother bought a Viper glider a bit later, so those were our first vehicles.

my first figure was either straight arm Breaker or Zap, also got a GIJoe coloring book with them. My First vehicle was the RAM. The first Joes I bought with my own money was Wetsuit and a Viper at Hill's.

Crimson Guard is the first figure I remember picking off the pegs to buy (from some drug store). I remember being extremely excited to find this figure, which must have helped to really cement this memory in my mind.

I've been saying that I think they should make Road Pig on an extra-large buck (bigger than Roadblock), and I think Croc Master could use this treatment too.

Straight arm Short-Fuze. Once I saw the cardback I knew I had to get them all.

My very first Joe was a Scarlett, but I am pretty sure my parents bought that for me. It didn't take me long to break her (first O-ring figure), but I'm glad I stuck with the line
I'm not positive about the first one I bought, but it could be the '84 Storm Shadow I found at a local Ben Franklin. It was probably '85 since they had been out for awhile but I had never seen one. I was so excited that I stashed it on the toy aisle, ran home and raided my piggy bank, and went back and bought him. One of my favorite figures for many years. As for Joe vehicles, I can't recall buying a brand new one until the Sky Patrol in the 90s. I had bought several secondhand ones from yard sales, and I think the HAVOC was probably the first secondhand one I bought on my own. There is a possibility that the Snow Cat, Trouble Bubble, or the Devilfish were my first vehicle purchases (since I don't recall them being gifts) but I honestly don't remember. |

I had gotten Tollbooth, Wild Bill and Crankcase with their vehicles for Christmas and then for my birthday in April my Dad took me to Toys R Us and told me to pick out a present. I picked Zartan and his swamp skier so I consider that my "first purchase" and he is still one of my favorite figures.
