Project: "Ash Heap" Statement of Work
Target: DRAGONFLY [XH-1] Type: Assault Copter Year of Production (original): 1983 Refit: 2021 Contractor: Blackacre Heavy Industries (BHI) Procurement Lead: William S. Hardy Contract Number: RA056403211-07A Technical Support Items: Rotors, Skids (+hard mount), prototype sidewinder The purpose of this Statement of Work (SOW) is to set forth the technical support requirements for the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) and its customers managed systems/equipment/technology, hereinafter referred to as the Army under special license of Government Issue Joseph Colton. A current list of categories and representative examples of Army related special missions, to include all ancillary and support systems and training devices/aids, is included in Attachments below. Items for refit and improvements using state-of-the-art components include: Rotors (Threshold), Skids (with hardmounts) (Threshold), and special capability missile componentry (Objective). Tasks may also involve related non-US systems to include but not be limited to recovered Cobra platforms and anti-kinetic and electronic warfare targeting systems. The contractor is required to perform services at its own facility (off-site) or at a duty station at any U.S. Government facility or other designated facilities (on-site) within the Continental US (CONUS) or outside the Continental US (OCONUS), as specified by individual task orders. Access to governmental facilities is classified. The contractor shall have the capability to provide technical support required by this Statement of Work in the event of a deployment, whether contingency or for training purposes. In providing the support required by this SOW in a deployed status, the contractor will be required to abide by the rules of engagement, policies and procedures established for the particular operation supported, which is to reverse engineer and retrofit the XH-1 Assault Copter for resumption of flight duty. Task Orders may be issued for USASMDC/ARSTRAT and/or other governmental agencies (OGA) involved in air, space, and missile defense, cyberspace support, homeland security/homeland defense, and warfighter missions. This SOW provides the necessary requirements in support of Research & Development efforts asserting that all blueprints and technological advancements be retained by BHI, and provided to the special license holder at a significant discount. So, you 3D modeled new rotors and skids, is that right? Looks good. Are you going to do the gun mount under the cockpit?

Yep, the nose cannon is up next. After that comes the fuselage and then the gimmick gearing for the thumb operated rotor drive. Am just waiting on a beater parts fuselage to arrive so that I can dismantle it and model everything. Should be easy to scale it all up for a 6 inch compatible print once I'm done. The most difficult part was getting the dimensions locked in to let me retain the original pressure fit that keeps the skids locked into the fuselage. The original designer(s) really knew their craft.

I modified my Dragonfly to fit modern 3.75" Wild Bill and even that was a pain to do. I can't imagine a Classified figure...haha.
