What is a sealed Whale worth? Box is so-so, not great but not horrible either-probably in the middle of the scale.
Are there legit price guides for these toys like there are for sports cards? I used to go by whatever Lee's told me but that magazine isn't around anymore (BTW I miss that!). It's not nice enough to grade so I'm trying to determine its sealed value in case I pull the trigger to open it. This is one I never had as a boy.

In that edition, he offers his opinion that MISB ranges from $650-950 or more. In my opinion, it's worth whatever somebody is willing to pay for it.

There was one that sold on eBay about a month ago. Open box, but looks like all the parts were still in factory bags and it was unassembled. That went for just under $1K. I'd expect to get about that or maybe even a little more for it, even if the box is not in good shape but sealed. I'd sell it for a grand and then buy an open nice complete one with box for maybe $600. Just got to be patient. BTW, it was my favorite Joe toy ever (playing with Joes from 1982-1987). Good luck!
