Don't have it anymore, and I know not a G.I. Joe, but the best Xmas present I ever received.

Sweet, I had that. It was awesome. Too bad you could never buy a toy like that today it's too real looking & no orange tip

I do remember getting several cool toys over Christmas, but few were Joe related. I do recall getting the HISS in probably Christmas of '84, and I know I got the Wolf and Mamba in Christmas of '87. Earlier Christmases were often Kenner Star Wars (Millenium Falcon, AT-AT, etc).
However, my favorite was always Optimus Prime in Christmas of '85. I was the only kid in my grade at school that had one. I restored mine last year so he looks almost brand new. I have very few of my favorite toys that survived my childhood, and this guy was one of my few favorite toys that survived getting sold, given away, or tossed out. |

In the early or mid 1970s (can’t remember the precise year), I received on one Christmas morning a Marx Toys Navarone Giant Playset. I don’t own it anymore, but I sure did enjoy and treasure that toy for many years of my childhood.

Navarone Hill was awesome! I finally sold mine a few years ago as it was far less complete than I had remembered. I also had Martian Landing set from Marx. I loved those playsets!
For Christmas of 83 or 84, I got a really sweet dirt bike (for the era)....shiny chromed body, front & back handlebar hand brakes, awesome black padding with popping red graphics, no pedal brakes (could free pedal backward like a champ, haha), smoky clear chain guard. It was super nice, but then it got backed over and wrecked the frame when I was on my paper route one day, ugh. Hey, we foolishly thought we were all too cool to properly use kickstands back then! I was king of playground for a few weeks though, ha.

Best Christmas ever was Terrordrome, Nightraven, Tomahawk, Triple T and Stun all the same year.. I'm sure I opened 15 figures also. There could have been more, think I have an old picture somewhere in my PJ'S.. The boxes where huge around the tree. Epic..
