It took 35 years, but my friend gave me a Killer WHALE this year! It needs a little work but it’s in pretty great shape considering how fragile those things are. Super stoked.

My son's got a ton of stuff coming this year, including Classified Zartan and Kamakura, MOTU Whiplash and the new Trap Jaw, Nerf Aliens Pulse Rifle (he won't stop bugging me about mine!), Marvel Legends Symbiote Retro Spidey, NECA Warrior Predator and a few of those cheap Walmart Alien & Predator figures (he loves that line) and some big Zuru Egg Smasher you break open lol... might also get him a Retro Stinger on Ebay since he wants to open mine so much. Should be a fun morning!

That aircraft carrier is sad and lonely without a F/A-18.

The only time I remember getting Joes for Christmas was in '83. I got a couple of Dragonflies and a FANG. There was a picture of me unwrapping a Dragonfly, but it might have been destroyed.
The Christmas gifts that I remember the most were the ones I got in '89. I was given the choice of a 1st series Garbage Pail Kids set or an NES. I chose the GPK set, but I received the NES, too. The GPK set came from a card dealer at our local super flea market. He was an elderly man in a wheelchair that smoked a pipe and worked at a stand with his granddaughter. I really wanted the set because cards from that series were extremely hard to come by by the time I had started collecting them when 3rd series was out. While I've changed the pages that I kept them in over the years, I still have them. I'd have to say that they are the best Christmas gift I ever got. In 2017, I completed my GPK Original Series 1-15 collection thirty-one years after getting my first GPK card. Last edited by Alchemist; 12-10-2022 at 04:14 PM.. |

My wife scored me a NASCAR driving opportunity at the now-defunct Walt Disney World Speedway through the Richard Petty Driving Experience. It was a lot of fun, and some great memories.

I'd have to say my Mossberg 20 gauge shotgun from my Dad when I was 12. Still own it.
As a side note, I got the USS Flagg that same year for my birthday.

Does anyone remember the Micronauts Terraphant and the Hornetroid? Somewhere, I have a Polaroid of that Christmas morning, probably 79 or 80? Micronauts were badass, and way ahead of their time.
