Afternoon all!,
New here. Haven't been part of a Joe forum for many many years. Finally, at age 46, I'm getting back into the swing of things. Always been a die hard Joe fan. Looking forward to after many years being able to sort through, catalog and restore some pieces in my collection. Please bear with me for a few dummy questions lol. I have searched the forum for this and haven't really found what I was looking for. I'm aware of the repro decal sites that alot of you use, i.e. rattlerpros, Toyhax, etc., but my question is in regard to the scale and source of the decal information. How accurate are the scaling of the repro sheets that you buy? I have done an EXHAUSTIVE search on the web for decal scans, etc. Even searched by P/N's for Hasbro etc. I'm not sure where those who make these repro decals are getting the information on how to correctly size the reproductions. I appreciate any help. And thanks for being patient. |

I have two vintage cobra officers and two vintage HISS drivers. One of each had the silver cobra chest logo mostly rubbed off so I bought a set of waterslide decals from a seller on ebay. The HISS driver matched well but the set I got didn't have anything quite the correct size for the officer. It still fit on his chest but when you compare it to an original the size difference is obvious. Other than that it looks great. I have also bought vehicle and playset labels from various sites and they have always seemed scaled correctly to me, but I don't always have an original to compare it to. Also some vehicles had label variations that I haven't seen available in reproduction.

Bad Mother Tattoos makes made to order water slide decals. I bet you could ask for a logo in a certain size and he could make it for you. Of course, they are water slide decals which I am terrible at placing. If they don't intimidate you, go for it!!!
