I bought a couple HISS Tanks. Haven't opened them yet (we are only in this house for a year, before I get PCS'ed back to Canada), but you can never have too many HISSes.
I will say it's a bit disappointing that they didn't upgrade this mold, though. It's great for a vintage display, but pretty crappy for 25th-style figures, considering how they retooled and/or completely redid other vehicles like the Skyhawk, Moccasin, Tomahawk, etc.

Yeah... I think I still have one of those. Cool, but I was thinking updated in terms of size, sculpt and detail, not a complete conceptual redesign.

I agree they should've used these current boxes for the 25th line. Would've made them that much cooler! I'm starting to really get into these current retro vehicles though. At first I was on the fence about them which is why i started this post but oh boy is it ever fun/nostalgic when finding them in store!!
One footnote: I can appreciate other people's passion for the Classified figures but myself I'm just not into them. I recently against my better judgement joined FB solely to monitor joe groups & stay in the know (knowing is half the battle) and boy that's all anyone seems to talk about. All I see is pics people post of they're target or walmart hauls with these figures or worried how they can't find them etc. I guess me & jinx are the only people not into them. Remember spy troops? That's where these Classified figs rank with me. But again I can appreciate other people's passion for them it just won't be me begging to trade my vintage MOC stuff for specific Classified figures on FB that nobody can find in store. Feel free to drop that FB account. I don’t any do any social media aside from a couple toy collector sites and I’m pretty confident that I’m on the cutting edge of toy collecting, Lol. Unless you want to keep in touch with friends and family far away social media is very unhealthy.

Yeah I’m not feeling the Classified line myself. At least not with their current ascetic. And with all of the exclusives in lame brick and mortar stores I’m happy that I didn’t bother.

The Retro Collection is just what I've been waiting on, I think. Sure, they're Walmart exclusive right now but at least they're all at one place. I like them all so far except for Duke... I don't know why they went with a yelling face sculpt — I've never been a fan of those. I'm actually even ok with how the Fang looks. We'll see as far as quality materials are concerned but aesthetically speaking I like it and I don't mind the pilot. |
