A collection of foreign cardbacks. Yes, I had all of these figures carded and I opened them. I regret nothing.

It's cool to see all those foreign cards. Do you have any interesting stories about how you got any of them?

The Funskool figures from India famously have lesser plastic quality than Hasbro. I haven't had a problem with broken parts, but their features look a little waxy. |

Latest acquisition - the Transportable Tactical Battle Platform.
I had to buy two of these to cobble together one mostly complete set. The box is intact and in very good shape, but I'm still missing a couple small pieces. The extra platform and parts have gone to my son. Never had this as a kid, because I really only cared about vehicles that came with driver figures at the time. However, much like the '83 Headquarters (seen on the shelf above it), I've been finding the line's playsets a lot more appealing these days. All of my 1982-1994 figures are arranged chronologically in the display cabinet seen to the right. Any figures out manning vehicles and playsets have to come from later than that. These are all repaints from the 2000-2002 era. |

Here's a fun item from the old days of G.I. Joe collecting: "The Compendium of Corrections" - a booklet or pamphlet self-published by collector Brian Mulholland for the specific purpose of notating all of the (many) errors and omissions in the James DeSimone G.I. Joe guides. He got 18 pages of notes from two books that together only add up to 48 pages of their own.
Anyone else have a copy of this? |

Here's a sample page. Before YoJoe, books like these were the best source of knowledge about G.I. Joe figures.
