Cool stuff JoshZ. Just curious but what did you end up paying for the manimal back then?

Most of my collection was obtained either during the original run or at least at times when things were much more affordable than they are now. I rarely pay big bucks for a single item. |

Don't give up yet, I just haven't been on the thread for a second. The Manimals are a concept I love but the execution didn't quite pull it off. I have two of the Kaybee ones carded. It is one of the concepts I would love to see Hasbro revisit along with the Lunatix aliens.
Your collection is exquisite, if I may say.

These figures probably came out around the same time as the A-Team and Dukes of Hazzard figures too. |

Rambo was made by TOY ISLAND
There were other sets. like Rambo with cheapo straight-arm A-Team/Gen Patch bodied figures and a tank and a Humvee that mighty have been from their RoboCop the series line. YOU CAN BE RAMBO, TOO! (A PTSD-suffering killer) Last edited by Sean_C; 10-18-2020 at 03:35 PM.. |

So weird that they had a line of kids' toys for a brutal R-rated action franchise like this. I'd almost think that the action figures must have been based on the short-lived 1986 Rambo cartoon, but that was long gone from airwaves by 1994.
The figure certainly doesn't make any attempt to resemble Stallone. |

Back in the day every movie like that got a toy release. Terminator, Robocop, Aliens. Some worse than others. A lot of times they soften it up, make a cartoon, then release a toy for it. All this without the parents blinking a eye.

OMG Look at Klinger! That's great! I have vague memories of them in the Wishbook. Guess they never made Larry Hama's figure from the show.
