Lanard apparently sold a lot of different figures under the Lazer Force name. I rather like these as a sort of space marine squadron. I think they're technically only three characters in three color schemes each, but they're generic looking enough that it's easy to pretend they're a bigger team.
What's weird is that the figures are numbered 2, 3, and 8, but as far as I'm aware there weren't any other figures in this particular Lazer Force line. I swear I also used to have a bunch of the white STAR Force figures, but they're not in my storage bins. I don't remember selling them off, but I must have at some point. Nope, no relation.
My weekend project was making some shelves for this small space next to my storage closet, so that I can finally display some of my non-G.I. Joe obscurities. This is all I have left of what used to be a much larger Lanard collection. I saved the most interesting stuff for myself. The bulk of my cheapo, generic Corps figures got dismantled and stripped for body parts. My kids are big fans of mixing-and-matching action figure parts to make their own characters. I often buy small lots of junky Corps figures off eBay or Mercari just to give them some custom fodder. I'd hoped to be able to also find room for the Bronze Bombers, and maybe some Street Fighter movie edition and Mortal Kombat figures, but that'll have to be a project for another day. I may have more and I'll be at the old place tomorrow finalizing things. If I find them, they're yours.

Tiger Force Flint from China, still carded. This is the one that's actually Falcon in Tiger Force deco.
Is this guy worth anything today? As I recall, used to be he was incredibly common and it seemed like everybody had one. That still the case, or has he increased in value? I see a couple guys on eBay trying to sell them for $99, seemingly without any bites. I don't see any recent completed auctions. Is it worth my bothering to try to sell him? I still have a loose one in my collection cabinet. Awesome. Love the bronze bombers. I only have 4 of those.

Anybody watch the Bionic Six cartoon in the '80s? LJN made a short-lived line of toys in 3.75" scale. The figures were a mix of plastic and die-cast metal. Paint chips off of them very easily.
I have all but one of the action figures. I'm missing one of the 6 in the Bionic Six, so I have to pretend that the robot ape thing is a member of the team. The kid in the back in the red baseball cap is in pretty poor shape. Most of the figures are missing accessories. I have one mint-on-card (the father), but he's hard to see in the background shadows of this shot. There were also a couple of larger vehicles (a camper van and a jet-like thing) and a headquarters playset that I was never fortunate enough to own. Last edited by Josh Z; 11-05-2022 at 03:24 PM.. |

I've never seen the bronze bombers in someone's collection before just random pics of the individual figs. Pretty cool re-colorings of the classic cobra figs!

I think the Aero Chair is the jet thing you are referring to since the jet from the actual show never got made. Cool display and good luck on hunting down a JD in decent shape! |
