Hello tankers, I just purchased a complete Serpentor and his dagger is made of a flexible plastic and it does not fit well in the figure's hand since the handle is thicker in t he upper part of the handle. Is this the right dagger or any kind of reproduction? Did you experiment the same problem when trying to make the figure to grab the weapon?
Thank you in advance for any input. |

There was one, if not several, versions of that knife. The original is a more metallic silver with finer details. There was a 2 pack version that's lighter. You might have one of those.

Is it probable I had been scammed with a 2002 version dagger? I just browsed yojoe.com and the dagger of this version is quite similar to the original one.

I could be mistaken, but I seem to remember the flexible plastic with my own Serpentor's dagger, though I never owned the '02 for a comparison. It was also a tight fit, which If I remember correctly, seemed to have as much to do with his hands as it did the dagger. |

I'd say it's possible, and with the state of collecting, it's also possible that the "scam" happened during the course of one of many possible re-sales, maybe all the way back in '02, and may have never been noticed. I will say, of all of the ARAH figures, Serpentor does have a higher than average number of variations.

The original dagger was made of very soft, flexible plastic, unlike all the other vintage weapons.
