I would buy in a heartbeat. I am not a MOC collector, but you can bet I’d become one!

I'd pass.
I want high quality modern-engineered figures on retro cards. Call it the "GI Joe Vintage Collection". Give them numbers like Star Wars TVC for added fuel to collect them all. And I'd buy them all. |

The 25th stuff is best left on card because the figures were kind of a let down in poseability and not being able to hold their weapons.
That said, the packages were gorgeous. Thats why I still have almost the whole set MOC. All the ones I wanted at least, plus some of those good looking comic 2 packs. Quote:
I wish their was a better choice of figures released on the 25th single cards though. Guys like Tunnel Rat, Chuckles, Alpine, Footloose, Dusty etc as well as some of our favorite Vipers. I just don't see it happening again, though I would love to be proved wrong.

While I like the idea, I question whether there's enough demand. There are so many vintage figures out there at affordable prices. Plus, Red Laser and Black Major customs help with finding original figures to add to any collection.
I want Hasbro to do something fresh with the line. |

Nice blue unfaded spirit. I’d be about a thousand times more interested in this than the retro Star Wars (unless they did chrome r2 and c3po).

Found them in the wild? Pretty cool, but I would like to see cheaper prices.

The Marvel and G.I. Joe comic packs might be my favorite collectibles - like the best of both worlds! But definitely not "openers".

I would, though that would depend on the price point. I would also worry about whether such a move would jeopardize the future of the modern-era style; I doubt Hasbro would find it worthwhile to support modern and pre-modern figures at the same time, but considering Hasbro doesn't see the brand as worthwhile at all right now, anything would be an improvement.
I would guess though that they would need to allow for vehicle drivers to be released as carded figure, which could get pretty interesting! We could get a Retro/Vintage green Clutch/Grunt & tan Clutch/Grunt on cards. Jason |
