I just don't understand this sentiment. I don't have any O-rings any more (not since I was probably 10 or 11). But I just can't understand how anyone can look at a V1 Cobra Commander (center) compared to an Ultimate Cobra Commander (center left) and say the V1 is better.

I’d like a retro series. Exact as possible releases of 82-83 to begin with, cards and all, exact reproductions.

If a retro line gets made I’d probably pass besides a few to keep carded.

O-ring figures may not *look* better but they are more easily posed and better to play with. I have over 400 o-ring figures and have even bought some for my kids and that's what they love too. I bought them a few modern era figures and they didn't care for them plus their hands got ripped off when trying to remove weapons. I've opened up one "retro" Storm Shadow and even I feel afraid to pose him too much though I think he looks fantastic.
I've been excited about the Classified line yet my kids are just like "eh". They want more o-ring figures. I know it will never happen and that's fine because I have plenty of them. I do miss some of the more elaborate vehicles and play sets. I doubt we will ever see anything like those again. |

If these keep going strong for a few years? Then some limited options might open up.

https://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-j...ml#post5234457 Inspired by this fine figure: https://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-j...ns-design.html. I'd buy re-releases of the vintage o-ring of pre 1987 figures though. I know I couldn't stop myself. |

if they did a retro line for Gijoe I would probably buy every figure made.. I love o-ring figures I never liked the new modern stuff never got into it. I grew up with o-ring figures and stopped buying Gijoe once they stopped making them. I would probably army build a lot of the cobra figures to lol.

What BM and RL can teach Hasbro is there IS a market for O ring figures, especially if you make figures that have been unseen since vintage (Flash, Snake Eyes), not done to death, or not done RIGHT by Hasbro (Vipers with correct waist and legs, Cobra Troopers with correct arms). |
