Regarding plastic embrittlement in storage: I'm about to pull some vehicles out of storage, and I'll wondering if I should let them soak in a hot tub of water to relieve the stress on the plastic.
I'd like to restore my Dino hunters set and I'd like to avoid unnecessarily snapping anything |

Definitely couldn't hurt. I know it's a recommended method for all modern toys, but it does work well for vintage also- I made sure to heat my Zap's hands before gearing him up, as a recent example, and I'll be doing it with a Fang to remove the skids and rollbar soon.

So a few months back I had purchased a Zanzibar and Air skiff both for $15. The figure itself was in almost excellent condition, but the air skiff was filthy and had a lot of broken pieces. I cleaned up and repaired the air skiff and was pretty happy with the results. The only thing I was missing to make this toy complete was Zanzibar's pistol and spear. So I took the plunge and bought the pistol online (for $16), but I was unwilling to pay the ridiculous price for the spear, so I managed to make one myself. And the results I am very happy with!
Here is my video of the spear and explaining how I made it. https://odysee.com/@daikaijusaurus:5...NeMGsCaqc1R7ft Here is also my previous video of the restoration of the air skiff. https://odysee.com/@daikaijusaurus:5...NeMGsCaqc1R7ft My videos are on Odysee, which is a Youtube alternative. Hope you enjoy!

Hope you enjoy! I'm trying to restore a Neca Alien Resurrection Queen alien that has a broken off small arm. Do you have any experience repairing something like that? It's broken off at the joint and the previous owner glued it on but that didn't last. I'd like to give it mobility again. I know this is kind of off topic. |

That came out really good. I still have my Zanzibar also. I always liked him.

Good luck!

I would suggest you check out Toy Palloi's channel on Youtube. I got a lot of my restoration ideas from watching his videos. He uses various materials such as polystyrene sheets, Lego parts, etc. to repair so many different kinds of toys and action figures. Here's his channel:

Good luck! Neca makes some awesome figures but they really struggle with stuck joints. It's probably how the last guy broke the arm off, trying to force it. |

New here. Got bored one night and looked up old favorite figure online. Got bored one afternoon and photoshopped it with full eighties flair:

Working on a Mauler restore. I've been enjoying cleaning up ARAH vehicles the past few months. I have quite a few I need decals to finish off but this Mauler was fun to complete and get some instant gratification.
