Lol yea it was. Fun to clean it up though. New decals and the large antenna are all that is left to finish it up.

I use baby oil to get the old decals off of mine. Then wash it with Dawn, and follow up with Windex, then wash the Windex off with a second pass of Dawn and warm water. The nice side effect is even after all the oil is washed off the plastic has a new sheen. See results in the Flickr link below.

Thanks! I actually got the tow cable intact with this one. Only missing the long antenna. I have a big toyhax order coming up - Mauler, Bridgelayer, Thunderclap, Night Raven, Sky Striker and maybe the Tiger Fly.

Does the baby oil work better than goo gone for sticker removal?

I've never used the Goo so I can't compare. I never knew what chemicals were in the goo and wasn't sure if it would damage the plastic. I know what oil does so I've always stuck with the oil. Just make sure you clean the plastic with soap and water, then ammonia (Windex), then soap and water again to get all the oil and ammonia residue off. You don't want to leave chemicals on that plastic long term, and you want the plastic squeaky clean for the decals.

If you try the oil don't pour it directly on the plastic, I've always poured a little on a rag or face cloth on it's last legs first. I was afraid of a direct pour might darken that point of contact more so than the rest of the vehicle. I used a Qtip to work the oil into any tough old decal adhesive spots.

The night raven cleans up nicely!! Enjoy!

Anyone have tips for scratches, scuffs on plastic? Specifically I am trying to get rid of some on the Thunderclap's green cannon base as I came across one with all the tabs intact.
