Alley Viper II & Cobra Viper
Assortment Number: 60115 The COBRA ALLEY VIPERS are the inner-city invasion forces for COBRA. Recruited from other COBRA combat divisions, COBRA ALLEY VIPERS use various forms of evil to achieve their objectives. They go through extremely tough training in all kinds of urban environments – streets, buildings and alleys. Only the toughest can successfully jump down thirty feet to a concrete floor while carrying a full combat load – and that’s one of the easy exercises. They look and act tough, so people are always running away just at the sight of them. They have been given special training in controlling the dangerous human-animal tiger hybrids created by DR. MINDBENDER™, for one side effect of the experiments has resulted in uncontrollable bursts of frenzy. Amongst themselves, the COBRA ALLEY VIPERS refer to the hybrids as their new attack dogs. The GI JOE team faces a fearsome new threat from the evil COBRA organization. Dr. Mindbender has joined the DNA of Earth's most savage creatures with elite COBRA fighters. The result: hybrid warriors with dangerously superior fighting skills.

I have a bunch of VvsV sets (including this one). I totally agree with you though; great Viper, and shitty looking Alley Viper. AV looks cheaper than the rest of the VvsV figs.

Crappy figures aside, it was cool for Hasbro to package the troop builders together. That made a lot more sense than packaging a Viper with Big Ben.

Yeah i agree also, crappy AV and very cool Viper. It was cool they put troop builders together, they did it a few times throughout the line. It would be cool to get one of these updated into ME form.

They did do that with the comic pack that had iron grenadier and viper, just wish they did that more often, How cool would it be if they had done a shock trooper, poc alley viper 2 pack??

Ugh, 2 of the worst Viper figures Hasbro has ever made.

Ar you serious? That Viper was awesome, Alley suffered because of the horrible proportions (Upper legs to torso). But Viper was a great update and when it was repainted in Cobra Blue it was even better. I was so happy when the CCG made the burgundy repaints as Viper "Thugs" really was a neat back story idea.
