I got it recently from a consignment store and have been supremely impressed with it. Modern Era Joes fit very well. And It is'nt plagued by the problems other vintage toys have with the pegholds not fitting modern era figures since Its all seats. Its a amphibious Troop Transport. So one of its major gimmicks is to float in water. regardless you get comfortable seating for six joes in the back and three operator troops from hatches on top. One of which has a cool rangefinder computer. I find dataframe looks perfect in this seat. troop carrier. Without the orange missles the vehicle is actually a lot better looking and in the same vein as the vamp has a accesible engine panel. Though that piece is a bit flimsy.

I missed out on the Warthog. Would love to get one.
The only thing I never liked was the missiles. 2 shots and it's done? I like something that can have some kind of sustained firepower for moving the troops back and forth. Replace the missile launchers with guns of some kind and it would be a 10 out of 10.

Great vehicle, indeed. I missed out on the Convention Exclusive in Desert Camo but definitely had this piece as recently as a few years ago.
I remember being small and being absolutely GEEKED that it floated on water. I remember going to Orchard Beach (a beach in the bronx...should say it all, lol) and bringing my BUGG and Warthog. Oh, what a glorious battle fought that day. |

The vehicles that floated in water were the best.

You can search for the Warthog variant, Night Rhino in black from 2002.
There's probably plenty around. |

Funny enough, you can get an original loose/mint/complete warthog for less than you can get the black re-issue with Dusty. |
