The 'Toy Fair Catalog' thread sparked this memory for me. In the early 90's - I had a friend that was working at Toys R Us. He told me about this catalog that was in the managers office, showing potential upcoming products. Most of the things actually DID pan out. However, the one thing we were most excited about was the "GIJoe Rough Riders". It was a subset like Battle Corps / DEF / Space Force. Each figure came with a horse. I remember him telling me about Spirit, Wild Bill and Outback were the Joes... I can't remember if there were Cobras. Does anyone know if this was true? He wasn't the kind of friend that would pull my leg about things... so I always assumed it was true. Am I just gullible?

That would have been awesome!! For years Saturday morning cartoons then my Dad 'got the tv' to watch westerns. We had a lot of good times watching those westerns and talking military stuff muscle car stuff and such! So to have had something like this would have been so much fun!! Gotta investigate this

This is awesome. Hopefully Dan Klingensmith can pad out details in one of his future books https://www.creatinggijoe.com/?fbcli...UxbplhmAfmK2gE |
