Yeah those twins are the same ones that we saw in the 85 insert. For the longest time I wished we had gotten them instead, but now I kind of prefer the ones that we did get.
I can't tell if Zarana's headsculpt is different, or if it just looks different because she and Zandar are painted, or just not molded in the color changing plastic instead. I kind of prefer them that way now that I see them. Did Funskool or anyone else ever make them like that? As for the weapons, I don't think they cared about perceived violence back then. They're probably just sideways so they can be shown off better. Or because they were damn hard to point straight anyway. |

I've often said that, judging by Sears and Montgomery Ward Wishbook scans, 85-86 was the best year to ever be a little boy, in all of history lol. It was like toy, comic and cartoon utopia.

I loved the 1986 line! That was the first time I was able to purchase individual figures for myself, given that I lived overseas. There were so many outstanding figures and vehicles out then. Thanks for sharing!
