Does Slipstream have Heavy Metal's head ? It looks like he has a mic in that picture.

Those scans are amazing...they really take me back. Oh, how I miss those days...

I remember getting that night raven for Christmas. It was my favorite present that year.
Great find. I love the pics. Notice how all the guns on the figures are pointed sideways. This was probably done to not turn off any parents from buying these toys for their kids. Last edited by Rangeviper88; 02-14-2017 at 12:54 AM.. |

Oh, how I miss catalog images of toy lines. I remember I used to wait anxiously each year for the old Best Products catalogs to show up.

That pic of the Bridgelayer helps confirm something from being a kid. That image must have gotten reused in a Sears or JC Penny catalogue or something, because my friends and I expected Flint to come with the Bridgelayer, and I remember being a little disappointed as a kid getting the it, and Flint not being included.

I can't express how much this takes me back. It's like 1986 was THE year for GI Joe. Sad to think I started losing touch just one year later.

So many great memories in those pictures. 1985-1986 was an incredible two year run of toys. Maybe the best ever.
