I am currently back on the East Coast visiting my mom and went to my storage space and took out some of my old Joes that I hadn't looked at in a while.
First bad thing I noticed? I REALLY shouldn't have kept unscrewing the backs of my Joes to make new ones. So many of them were incomplete or had the wrong heads etc. Oops. :( But also, I noticed that several of my figures that I never did take apart - my '86 Hawk, Starduster, '86 Sci-Fi, and '83 Gung-Ho for example - were broken in half... the O-rings apparently deteriorated and broke. Is there a way to cheaply fix them? And is this a common occurrence? On the bright side there was some hidden treasure in my storage - a few of the 1998 or 1999 exclusive packs, still unopened... and a HISS III tank that I never opened either. I didn't even know I had those That makes me very happy. Still, any advice on how to fix the O-ring guys would be appreciated. |

You can find the O-Rings pretty cheap on Ebay. Just do a search for GI Joe O-rings on Ebay!

If you have a lowe's hard ware store go there. They have a whole isle of plumbing stuff that has o-rings. I prefer size 41 for the vitage figures. They are packs of 20 for less than one dollar. Way cheaper than ebay.
