Tend to agree with this... that plant doesn't have all the chemicals and tar and crap that tobacco has, it IS likely cigarettes smoke you are smelling. And like another poster said above, nit just being pedantic and silly that plant is from a family with herbs and aromatics IF you had figures that were stored with a large enough amount of it long enough to pick up a smell then the smell would be a flowery plant smell like Rosemary, Oregano, Lavender, Jasmin or some such. Well not exactly like any of those but a pleasant flower smell not a vile bad smell.

every person I know that smokes weed has a constant smell on them, in their homes, and in their cars. I think people that smoke just can't smell anymore... just like all the people I know who smoke cigarettes can't taste either - they all need their food overly seasoned or spicy |

I found this to be the best stuff to get out odors. It's incredible! I use it on my properties that have a smoke or pet odor. Just use a sliver of it for figures or small vehicles. A teaspoon will handle around 20-30 old figures. Try to place them around a well ventilated area. Or put in or around floor registers or air returns. I get it at Locke Supply.

When I bought a batch of nicotine-laced figures, as per advice, I soaked them in diluted Simple Green (50/50 with water) for 3 days. Worked perfectly. Only issues were a couple of items faded (out of like 50 figures). I suspect 2 days might have been enough, but you can check periodically to see how they're coming along.
That probably got rid of 95% of the smell, then I let them air out for a couple of weeks to be safe before putting them in my enclosed cabinet. I couldn't even say now which ones were affected, as it completely got rid of it. |

I couldn't even say now which ones were affected, as it completely got rid of it. i follow miniwargaming and rpg painting groups on facebook, and the popular thing to remove paint is simple green. i dont like it because of the cost but it smells great. keep that in mind though - people use it to remove paint from figures. i know this was recommended to be diluted. keep an eye on it dont just drop it in and forget it like i do with: la's totally awesome. this stuff is amazing. it's 1.25 at the dollar tree. i use it to remove paint from figures, clean my wife's shitty stupid cat's puke out of the carpet, stains off my toddler's clothes, wash unremovable grime from my hands from garage and outside work. i drop figures i need to remove paint from in a jar of this, forget them, and then i pull them out and all my paint screw up is gone with a tooth brush scrub. and hte factory paint is safe. i soaked a tiger force frost bite torso in this stuff for a month, probably even longer, because the kid across the street that stole it from me as a kid and painted it with the most horrifically shitty paint that i could never get off (i've done everything) and figured i'd try this stuff on it and it was the most beautiful results. anyway, i recommend a couple days in la's totally awesome, keeping an eye on it, and then washing it off with some good dish soap (not the no name stuff) just because it can feel a little oily after removing (it can be rinsed off, but maybe the dish soap will help with any remaining smell) |

My go to for removing smoke or other smells is to put the item in a plastic bag with some baking powder and let it sit in the sun for a few days.
Obviously, you don't really wanna sit plastic figures in the sun though, especially white ones like Storm Shadow. But baking powder is a lot easier than soaking it in anything. I think even soaking toys in water is damaging in the long term. |

My go-to was to get long term Covid. Can't smell shit since Jan 2021!
Which is nice because man some toys you get on Ebay smell like they were smoking themselves. |
