I always liked the catalogs that came with the Joe vehicle. Though the thing that bugged me was mainly during 1988-1990 they never showed the driver of some of the vehicles or their names. They would say includes driver but no code name.

Back in the 80's, falf the excitement of getting a new vehicle was seeing the new catalog with the year's new toys in it.

Inserts by far were one of the things I loved! I would keep one next to my bed and using my flash light at night I would plot my process to get enough money to build my collection. I would dream about the elaborate battles I would construct and play with my brothers and friends!!

Interesting, the 1990 thru 94 catalogs are chock full of vehicles that did not come with drivers. It is almost as if the plan was to revert back to the original 1982 model of selling figures as accessories to the vehicle line. Also Major Storm is not listed by name until the second appearance of the General in the inserts in 1990 and 1991 respectively.
Hasbro must have still been deciding on a codename. It must have been the same situation with Cold Front. YOJOE.COM | Catalog Gallery - 1990

That used to be such an awesome thrill when you finally got to see the toy version of an awesome vehicle you saw in the comics. |

I love the catalogs. And yes, getting them as a kid was always a highlight. I will never forget finding the new 83 figures and a few accessories at Gold Circle one day. I bought a couple figures and the Battle Bear and about flipped out when I got home and looked through the new catalog...a jet and HQ? Awesome!
