Just found this thing while reading old reviews, how does this thing look with modern figures?

I've never heard of this vehicle so I looked it up on yojoe.com. It looks pretty sweet. I looked up the driver as well and he looks like it's from the era when the torsos were bulkier so I would imagine 25'th and up figures should fit pretty well. I don't know first hand though so take my opinion for what it's worth.

I had it, but it didn't really appeal to me. Just my opinion. Same grade given for the Joe quickstrike.

I had the Ringneck for a while, a majority of modern figures will fit (some of the bulkier guys like the recent Iron Grenadier is a bit more iffy), but are not compatible with the foot pegs. Not a BAd vehicle, but really doesn't offer much play value for its size, IMO. Money would be better spent on the 2005 HISS tank or the 2010 Fury.

Its okay...and while I haven't put modern figures in it all they do is stand in the holes so I can't imagine its too much differance.
I'd say they fit, but at worst and I doubt it you might have to slightly bend figures at the knee joints for it to look ok. BUT I will admit the Ringneck.....suuuuuuuuucks. Its cool looking but and had a bunch of potential but personally I think they should have forgone the sounds box and used that area as a troop compartment. Its not the worst vehicle but after about ten minutes you go, "Wow I am done here." |

The Ringneck was more an urban tank. No treads but wheels, small cannon, manned turrets. I'm more kind than some, but it gave Cobra something more than the Hiss family of tanks, although it looks a little like something from WWI or II, like a light infantry tank.

I'm sure the modern figures will work just as badly as the vintage. If you turn the turret you decapitate the 2 guys on the sides. It's a cool looking vehicle except for that design flaw.

Yeah it has potential as a remake, but the open and removable gun ports and the tonka look of it always annoyed me. It does however look ok in the background of dio shots. |

I have 2 of these...and do not plan on using them in the foreground of any display or dio shot...ONLY as background filler |

I had (might still have) the Ringneck. I remember being disappointed with it. I'll post photos with ME figures in it if I can find it. PS. I'll probably put it up for B/S/T if I do find it.
